DEADSY Confirm Split With DREAMWORKS RECORDS

April 29, 2004

DEADSY, the Los Angeles-based band featuring frontman P. Exeter Blue I (a.k.a. Elijah Blue, son of actress/singer Cher and Gregg Allman),have released an official statement confirming their split with Dreamworks Records. The statement reads as follows:

"With regard to the recent mutual and amicable split between DEADSY and their former label, Dreamworks, singer/guitarist Exeter relates that DEADSY have been trying to get off Dreamworks since the sale of the label to Interscope in late 2003.

"The Dreamworks label and staff we were signed to and worked so closely with over the years, is no longer in existence. We do respect and continue our long-standing relationship with [KORN singer] John Davis and his Elementree Records staff. Hail to The Legions."

DEADSY's 2002 debut, "Commencement", included a guest appearance by Davis in the song "The Key to Gramercy Park". The group have spent much of the past two years working on the material for the follow-up album, tentatively titled "Phantasmagore". Songtitles expected to surface on the upcoming CD include "Comforter Cave", "Phantasmagore", "Colossus", "Better Than You Know" and "Heaven and Earth".
